Tag: No Frills grocery deals
This is too good not to get into the store. Did you take the survey at Norbest’s web site last spring, and did you get your $10/any Norbest turkey coupon? These don’t expire till April 30, 2012.
Right now, No Frills has a BOGO sale that could yield you two turkeys for less than two bucks! Buy one 8-26# turkey at 1.49/#, and get the second FREE. Get an 8# turkey for 11.92 – $10 Norbest coupon = 1.92. Get the second same size turkey FREE!
Also, get a 2-pack of Reynolds oven cooking bags for 1.77. Viola!
Now let’s hope there are still some smaller turkeys left.

NIIIIIICE! I LOVE suff that’s FREE, and I got some good things today. I went to NF at 132/Center for the Mega Meat Deal and PMs.
Mega Meat Deal: Spent 12.05 for a huge chunk of lean beef that will make 3 or 4 meals for us. I got these FREE:
5# russet potatoes
1# carrots
3# yellow onions
6-ct whole wheat rolls
I also found a clearance cart with lots of clearanced soups for .99: V8s, Healthy Choice bowls, Progresso bowls. I pulled out (2) $1/any V8 soup, and got some Southwestern Corn soup, enough for dinner with quesadillas — for FREE.
I got 6 Steamfresh PMd at .84, with $1/3 coupons.
Hamburger Helper was PMd at .88, and there was a buy 10 get $2 off your next order Catalina, so….
Other Catalinas that printed: $1.50/3 V8 soups (so .48 each for the clearance ones), and .50/1 Steamfresh rice w/vegs (which I’d just PMd at .84, so .34).
My total for food: 24.91. Now, if we could find a weekend to make a nice pot roast and not rush through it, things would be even better.

I’m on a mission this year: spend $80 or less per week on groceries for my family of four! After reconciling all our expenses for 2009, all the while remembering the splurges during a special family celebration and replenishing of food storage, I realized I could and would do better in 2010. With the skills I’ve obtained, and the deals on some web sites I’ve discovered, “I hereby pledge to lower my food budget this year!”
Awesome deals this week! No Frills and BnS both had General Mills coupon deals, and I was able to really stock the freezer with lunches and after-school snacks. Regular savings at Aldi, of course, and the last of the LandOLakes milk deal.
This week for just food I spent $87.53 – just above my weekly budget. This puts me at $256.13 under budget for the year! Next week, unless they have another incredible brand sale, my spending will be lower; I’m glad the freezer’s full. Here’s where my food budget dollars went:
BagNSave: Two quick trips and one big shop cost me . The LoL milk was a real saver for us. A last-minute loss leader/coupon deal for Ragu, Wish Bone, and peanut butter was quite productive, adding .25 popcorn to the cart. The big savings came with the big shop, though. The General Mills deal got me really Cheap cereal (as low as .45), FREE Totino’s, Cheap-Cheap Totino’s (.19), outrageously Cheap Banquet meals (.59), and chicken breasts for 1.19/#. Also got non-food items, like 12-roll TP (3.95). Total for food at BnS this week: 23.31.
No Frills: Lovin’ the General Mills deal! Different deals here. Grands! golden wheat biscuits (.13), Green Giant Steamers FREE, Totino’s FREE, granola bars (as low as .98), cake and frosting (.96). Also, 18-ct eggs FREE, Yoplait yogurts (.36), SunnyD (.70), 20-ct Mission tortillas (.99), Chicken Helper (.43). Plus other deals, for a total of: 42.80.
Aldi: Why am I not at Aldi for more groceries these days? Because, frankly, the deals like the GM coupons are compelling! I still get my non-sale milk at Aldi (1.79/gallon), and things like strawberries (.99), my weekly CHOCOLATE, and crackers can’t be beat. Total spent here this week: 21.42.
How’d YOU do with the sales this week? Let us know with a comment!
